My Process
-
THE BRIEF
Before we get started on your new website we'll have to have a chat to see what kind of website suits your business. I'll ask some questions to figure out 'why' you need a website. After that we will start talking about designs. -
FIRST DRAFT
Once I have an idea of what you need, I will start working on the first draft. The first version will usually be pretty basic, this allows me to quickly change things depending on your feedback and get the website fully mapped out. -
SECOND DRAFT
By this stage your website will have come to life, everything will be working and your photos and logos will be added. Once I submit this, we will have another chance to change anything and get it looking exactly how you want it. -
THE DELIVERY
Now that your website is fully designed, all we have to do is host it on a server and link it up with your domain name. I can offer some advice on hosting, or if you want to save time I can sort out all of your hosting for you. Which brings me to maintenance plans...
Website maintenance Plans
Once your website is complete a maintenance plan must be put in place to make sure it works as intended into the future. I can offer some guidance if you wish to maintain your website yourself. Or I can stay on and manage your website for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a website cost?
The cost of a website can vary quite a lot, depending on many different factors. Just like building a house.
Do I need my own domain name?
You will need to purchase a domain name for your website. I can provide guidance with this if you need it 🙂
What is hosting?
All of your websites files and data need to be stored on either a physical or cloud based server, this server will upload your website to the internet. This will usually require a monthly cost and can be a little tricky to set up if you’re new to it all. I use cloudways for this and I can take care of all of your hosting if you sign up to one of my maintenance plans.
What is included in website support?
Anything and everything! Whether you need new pages created, edited or optimised, it’s all included. Even optimising a page for Google.
Examples of tasks:
- adding new pages
- making changes to current pages
- providing guidance/consulting via email or phone
Whats included in technical SEO?
Technical SEO includes all the technical SEO work required to improve search results. Anything from adding schema markup to fixing Google Search Console errors.
What's included in on page SEO?
The ‘Premium’ plan includes On-Page SEO of 1 page per month.
I’ll start with your most important page; the Home Page.
Once this is optimised, I’ll work through your service pages and blog articles
I all ready use cloudways, can I get a discount on one of your maintenance plans?
If you already use Cloudways as a hosting provider, well done! I’ll partially discount your monthly hosting cost from your WordPress maintenance plan cost.
However, if you use another hosting provider, then the maintenance plan cost will be the same. Other hosting providers (particularly shared hosting providers) usually aren’t as secure, they have much lower usage limits, not as reliable and usually don’t perform very well. So it’s more work for me to manage and doesn’t help your business
How often do you run WordPress software updates?
If a WordPress update is available, I’ll do this immediately. This also goes for any plugins that have known security threats. All other software updates are done once per month.
